At Newspaper Club we're privileged to see what's on people's minds all year round. It's always fascinating to peek into the presses and discover what makes the headlines. Anything can be on the front page when it's of your own making.
This year more than most, the front pages track changing moods and concerns: through panic, worry and isolation, into tentative steps towards togetherness, the “new normal” of mask-wearing and finding each other safe and well in strange “liminal times” full of uncertainty.
Outside of the pandemic, Donald Trump hit the headlines all year round. Black Lives Matter unleashed a torrent of creative responses. The climate emergency remains a burning issue. And people continue to communicate in their own way whether it's forceful, friendly or funny.
